Subject: Outcast lacks simple features Author: AtilioS (08:32AM, Jan 04, 2009) Well, first of all I love the sound that the outcast creates. And the fact that it comes from a wireless signal, its truly amazing. I was however, disapponted at the fact that the transmitter did not charge my iPhone. The battery life on the outcast is great but what good is it if i have to keep charging my iPhone seperately. Also, the point of getting the soundcast was to listen to my my iPhone's pandora music channels which for some reason the outcast does not transmit very well. The sounds fades in and out. I'm sure there are ways to remedy some of these issues but at $800 bucks! I should be able to charge my device, and play with very little effort.

Subject: re: Outcast lacks simple features Author: OmarV (05:46PM, Nov 10, 2009) Our current iCast transmitter is capable of recharging the batteries from iPODs and iPhones. You might have an older version. If you are interested in getting the current one you can get it from our website.
http://www.soundcastsystems.com/products/icast-transmitter The new OutCast production run will include a newer iCast version that charges iPODs and iPhones and also gets rid of the “This device wasn’t designed for iPhone” message that appears on the screen momentarily on the iPhones. It will be available next year. |
