Hi,

I'm having a problem wtih the iCast transmitter. The transmit light does not go on at all and the OutCast is not playing anything. Has anyone else come across this problem? SoundCast, do you have any suggestions for me?

There are some reasons that could account for this problem:

1. Transmitter and receiver are not set to the same channel.
Solution: Set both units to the same channel
2. There’s an audio cable connected directly to the mini jack input of the speaker (Outcast or Junior)
Solution: Disconnect the cable to enable the wireless operation
3. One or both units are next to a wireless device that is interfering with the signal.
Separate the unit at least 3 ft away from the other device (the farther the better).
4. There are blocking objects (metal, water, rock) in between.
Solution: Relocate the units
5. One or both units are surrounded or enclosed in a metallic enclosure (metallic gazebo for example).

6. If you have the “Works With iPhone iCast Transmitter” you might be getting confused by the power saving feature.
If for some reason the signal got lost or you turned off the speaker when your iPhone was still docked to the iCast Transmitter and 30 seconds (or more) passed, the iCast switched to Power Saving Mode. To get things back to normal make sure your speaker is on and simply un-dock and re-dock your iPhone to the iCast to recover the wireless link. The Power Saving feature disconnects power to the transmission if iCast doesn’t see an available speaker to connect to after 30 seconds.
