Hi,

My transmitter has stopped working. There is a blue light on, but it just flashes dimly now. It stopped working spontaneously, whilst music was playing. The speakers work on their own (with iPod plugged directly in) but nothing is being transmitted from the iCast.

I then bought another OutCast unit, with transmitter included. This worked fine but now has the same fault as the previous transmitter. I am not too impressed by this happening twice with what is a highly expensive product.

I'm sorry to hear you had such bad luck with your units. Did you contact your distributor already for a replacement? If the transmitter has a flashing LED light this indicates the power supply has gone bad due to significant variations in the line voltage. Are you located in Europe or what continent? Thanks

Thanks for the response.

I am living in the UK, and considering the units are for sale over here I don't consider it satisfactory that the transmitter can fail due to "variations in the voltage". Surely this is a fault with the product? Is there a way to fix this problem without having to buy a third new transmitter, as the unit is no longer under warranty. Do you have the contact details for the UK supplier?

There's no need to replace the whole unit. You just need the power supply. This is a problem we had in the past but has been solved in the newer units. I would contact your local distributor and explain the problem.
Here's the info:

Hi,

My iCast power supply has failed at precisely 18 months on two occasions now.

I've emailed you directly at Soundcast and I've emailed Armour as you suggest, trying to source a new power supply. Neither of you has responded.

Can you please offer me some advice here? I am a UK-based customer.

Thanks,

Oscar

Oscar,

Armour is not our distributor anymore, please send me an email to [email protected] with your email address so that I can point you in the right direction and solve your problem. I will be more than happy to help you with this!

Thanks
