Subject: Soundcast Outcast and Squeezebox Duet Compatibility Author: MattD (08:52PM, May 07, 2009) I would like to purchase the outcast system and use it with my squeezebox duet. I would be like to stream content to the Duet receiver, shoot it over to the iCast via a cable, and then wirelessly to the OutCast speaker. Does anyone have any info or experience on the feasibility of doing that?

The way you describe it is exactly the right way to do it, however we recommend avoiding installing the iCast Transmitter in close proximity to the Squeezebox. The suggestion is to connect an audio cable from the RCA outputs and plug it into the iCast mini jack input but using a long cable in order to prevent any cross talking or interference between the 2 systems (you can use the cable provided with our product). It shouldn’t be any problem as Soundcast products work perfectly within a 802.11 Wi-Fi internet setup but just to be on the safe side don’t put the iCast on top of your Squeeze Box (as we don’t know how this one works internally).
